QAS test recorder does not record test steps for webservices project

Symptom: The QAS recorder does not record the steps for webservices project

Cause 1: The Base URL is incorrectly provided while recording a webservice session.

Solution: Provide API Base URL and Base URL correctly.

• If the URL requested before recording a session is provided incorrectly, then the recorder will not record the steps.

• For example, if you are recording activities on the login page of QAS bank- https://qas.qmetry.com/bank/ then the correct way to provide the URL is as below:

  • API Base URL: https://qas.qmetry.com

  • Base URL: https://qas.qmetry.com/bank/

Cause 2: Required certificates are missing

Solution: Install the missing certificates in QAS.
