Support for Chrome 115 and above versions: This release now offers support for Chrome versions 115 and above. This update addresses changes made by Google to Chrome Driver, ensuring compatibility with all versions above 115.
More in-built commands: In this release, we are thrilled to introduce a range of new utility commands designed to enhance your testing capabilities. These utility commands include:
- Verify Value Equals to Expected: With this command, you can compare a value with an expected value, ensuring that they match exactly. It simplifies the verification process and helps you ensure the accuracy of test results.
- Verify Value Should Contain Expected Text: This command enables you to check if a value contains the expected text. It's useful for scenarios where you need to validate partial matches within data.
- Verify Value Should Start or End with Specific Given Text: This command allows you to confirm if a value starts or ends with the specific given text. It streamlines validation tasks for data that should have particular prefixes or suffixes.
Browser Stack Bug Fixed – We're pleased to announce that the issue with Browser Stack has been successfully resolved in this release. Previously, there was an issue where the required properties of Browser Stack were not populated correctly when creating a new profile. With this fix, users can now create profiles on Browser Stack with the necessary properties populated as expected, ensuring a smooth and error-free testing experience.

Provided clear instructions for accessing the product UI: Included detailed instructions on how to access the product after installation on the wizard's final screen, which makes it easy for users to find the product URL.
Streamline activation during installation: During the installation process, included a step where users can provide their subscription details, including the email address used during website registration so that they don't need to manually subscribe or activate the product after installation.
Design changes: Product icons have been changed in the installation wizard.

New Features

Create a Project from Template: QAS provides Project templates to use while creating a new project so that users can jump-start using QAS without making much effort on creating assets in the project. Users can explore the project which is preloaded with sample test assets like test cases, repositories, profiles, and data. They can opt for a template for the project from Web, Android Mobile, and API templates. Each of the project templates contains test assets corresponding to the platform.
Import & Export Project: QAS allows users to export project data except execution results into a zip file and later can be imported into the same or different workspace with different names.
Additional command to execute JS expression on all platforms: Provided a command to evaluate any expression using JavaScript code syntax and perform some logical operation irrespective of the platform.

UI Enhancements: To maintain consistency across the system, all system icons are updated to the new design standards and branding guidelines. This includes icons used in the user interface, as well as icons used in notifications, alerts, and other system messages.
Analytics Results Search & Virtualization: To improve the analytics capabilities of the system, this release enabled virtualization and searching options. This will allow users to search and analyze data more effectively, reducing the time and effort required to extract insights from large datasets.
Support for Multiple Platform Profile: To improve the user experience in creating profiles with multiple platforms capabilities, this release provides a feature to configure such profiles with UI and reduce efforts to create them manually. So, with the help of this feature, now users can create profiles with all combinations of platforms like Chrome, Android, Firefox, etc.
Import & Export Profile: Provided capability from UI, User can export and import Profile and share it with other users.

New Features

QTM4J 4.x Integration - allow users to enable integration with QMetry Test Management for Jira (Cloud & Server) from the QAS 2.0 and update the execution details direct into the respective products.
Implementation of UI routing across the modules. Now, the user can copy/paste the URL to another browser or window to access the asset directly using the URL and share it across the team.

Out of scope

QTM4J 3.x Integration is not part of this release.
