How to download/install QAS2 (Before Registering on Website)?

How to download/install QAS2 (After Registering in Website)?

  • Click on the Try for Free button for QMetry Automation Studio.

  • Fill out the Registration Form for QAS trial.

You will receive the following email notification that contains QAS download links for Windows and MacOS from where you can install QAS.

Create License if not registered through website

  • Click on QAS Subscription as shown below:

  • Click on the Try Now button on the corresponding section.

  • Enter the following details.

The pop-up with Subscription details appears.

You will receive an activation link on your registered email address to complete your activation. 

After activating the link from mail, the subscription details will appear as follows. You have to restart QAS once then you will be able to start using QAS.

Create License if registered through website

If registered through website, then you can follow the FAQ 3 and do Free Trial flow, but please remember to give the exact same email id which you have used in the beginning while registering on the website for the first time. (Also, if you are an existing QTM or QTM4J user, then while doing the steps in FAQ 3 you have to provide the exact same email id which you had used while registering in QTM or QTM4J).

Alternatively, as you have registered through the website so there will be an Activation key already generated in QMetry system. In case the key is being shared with you by QMetry team, then please follow below:

Firstly, enter the key to activate QAS and click on the Activate Now button.

Thereafter, the success message pops up. Once QAS restarts automatically, you should be able to start using QAS.

How to start QAS2?

You can search QMetry Automation Studio (QAS) in the Start menu if already downloaded/installed.

  • Click on QSM and it will load.

  • After some time, check Tray icon, QSM will show up.

  • Right click on QSM, it should be Enabled.

  • Once QSM is enabled then you can open https://qas.qmetry.com

  • Click on Authorize and it will ask you to create/select your project

How to update QAS version?

From QMetry Service Manager click on ‘Preferences’

 

Click on ‘Check for Updates’ (In case, this option is greyed out, then please Stop the Service first i.e. make Qmetry Service Manager Status from Enabled to Disabled)

 

From here on, keep following the option by clicking on ‘Next', once he process is successful click on 'Finish’

Restart your QAS and check the updated version from ‘About’ section

Does the QAS installation need “Admin” rights on the system?

No, generally the “Admin” rights are not required. But, if the drive/space where the QAS is installed is restricted one, then the “Admin” rights are required.

From where to setup workspace in QAS?

By default QAS gives one workspace to you. If you still want to set up new workspace, then you can select option (QSM > workspace > New Workspace > DB Type (H2/Mysql)).
