How to create Visual Report gadgets using drag and drop?

Consider an example, QA Manager wants to know the count of Issues by their priority so they generate Defects by Priority chart.

To create this report using Visual Reports feature of QMetry Insight -

  1. Go to : QMetry Insight > Visual Reports.

  2. On the Test Entities View, select “Issues” module. The fields relevant to issues will be listed below on the tree.

  3. Now locate the required fields one by one. You can use the search box to search the field quickly on the list.

  4. Drag the field to the chart area or just double-click on the field to add it to the chart area.

  5. Apply required Filters and Conditions to the fields as described under https://qmetrysupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/QPro/pages/1337885409.

    • Here we will apply group by clause on the “Issue Priority” field and perform the Math operation to obtain the count for the “Issue Entity Key” field.

  6. Click on the Generate Table button to generate the report.

  7. It gives output in tabular format. You can modify the output format by switching to the available chart types from the table. In our case, we will switch it to the Pie Chart.

Report : A pie chart showing number of issues logged by its Priority in a Project (Name : Count of Defects By Priority For A Project).

  8. Once you get your desired report, you can save the report as a Gadget by clicking on the Add Gadget button.

Once you save the gadget, it will be available in the QMetry Custom Gadget section > My Gadget tab.
