How to fix the error "Your Atlassian Jira Subscription has expired or is temporarily unavailable" encountered when accessing Jira assets in QMetry?

When accessing the Jira assets imported as requirements/issues in QMetry, you may encounter an error - “Your Atlassian Jira Subscription has expired or is temporary not available”. If your Jira Software subscription is valid but you still see the error, it could be due to the Jira app needs to be reconfigured/re-authenticated with the right QMetry credentials. You can follow the below steps in sequence to fix this error.

Solution

  1. Login to Jira with Jira-administrator privileges, and go to Jira Settings → Apps → Manage Apps.

  2. Try uninstalling the existing “QMetry Jira Integration” app → re-install the latest v2.2.0 (version compatible with QMetry v8.10.3.1 and above) → re-configure/connect it with QMetry admin credentials or Open API key (QMetry → Integration → Open API → Generate). With Open API configured you would not need to worry about “admin“ passwords expiring.

  3. After doing the above steps check under QMetry → Integration menu → Integrations → Integration tab → check if the status of your Jira Instance is listed as `Active`.

  4. Run a manual sync from the affected project from Projects → Project/Release/Cycle → select your project → Integration tab → select checkbox and sync against Jira Project to run a manual sync (see screenshot below). Check sync progress from the Integrations → Integrations → Integration scheduler status tab.
