Unplanned Downtime: QMetry Test Management - Cloud was Not Accessible with an error message “504 ERROR - The request could not be satisfied“ on Oct 4th 2023, 10:10 AM to 10:25 AM PST. This downtime affected all QMetry Test Management Cloud customers.

  • QMetry Test Management gives error - 504 ERROR - The request could not be satisfied“ while accessing the QMetry URL.

  • QMetry Teams are working on high priority to restore the services back to normal. Based on the initial analysis, QMetry services should be restored soon.

Root Cause Analysis

Our investigation revealed that the QMetry application's database experienced insufficient available memory, leading to an accessibility issue. This memory shortage was primarily attributed to the excessive load imposed by certain application database queries and functions.

Preventive Action

To address this issue, we have optimized the identified application database queries and functions, ensuring they no longer burden the memory with excessive data loads. This preventive measure is expected to eliminate the recurrent inaccessibility problem, enhancing the overall performance and reliability of the QMetry application.
