Unplanned Downtime: QMetry Test Management Cloud (US) Not Accessible on May 23rd, 2025

RESOLVED

QMetry Test Management - US Cloud was not accessible with the “502 Bad Gateway” error message today, May 23rd, 2025, from 08.15 AM PST to 08.45 AM PST. This downtime affected all the users accessing QMetry Test Management US Cloud.

While accessing the QMetry URL, the following error was seen:

  • QMetry services are restored. Root cause analysis and Preventive Actions would follow soon.

  • QMetry Test Management gives the error “502 Bad Gateway” while accessing the QMetry URL.

  • QMetry Teams are working on high priority to restore the services back to normal. Based on the initial analysis, QMetry services should be restored soon.

Root Cause:

The QMetry application became inaccessible and displayed a "502 Bad Gateway" error instead of the expected landing page due to an incorrect configuration, which led to an application instance failure. The incorrect configuration was identified and corrected. The affected services were restarted, and the application was brought back online.

Preventive Action:

Required changes on the QMetry server have been made to fix this issue.
