Mapping QMetry Test Cases with Reflect Tests

You can map tests in Reflect with test cases in QMetry Test Management. Mapping links a Reflect test to a QMetry test case so that execution results can sync between the two systems.

Use the Assign Tests screen to map multiple Reflect tests at once.

To map multiple Reflect tests with QMetry test cases, perform these steps:

1. Sign in to Reflect.

2. Go to Integrations.

3. Locate Test Case Management.

4. Select QMetry, and then select Assign Tests.

5. Map Reflect tests with QMetry test cases.

   • The page displays all test cases available in the selected QMetry project.

6. Use the filters to map only Assigned or only Unassigned test cases.

7. Once the mappings are done click Save Mappings.

After you save the mappings, they appear in the Test Case Details section.

Map Tests from the Reflect Test Details Page

You can map tests directly from the Reflect test details page or edit existing mappings from this screen.

To map a test:

1. Sign in to Reflect.

2. Go to Tests.

3. Select the test.

4. Go to the QMetry Test Case section.

5. Select a QMetry test case from the drop-down list.

After you save the mapping, the Reflect test details show:

• The mapped QMetry Test Case Key and Summary.

• A link that navigates you to the Test Case in QMetry.

• A Sync Changes to QMetry button.

Sync Changes to QMetry

Test case updates do not sync automatically.

To sync updates:

1. Open the Reflect test.

2. Select Sync Changes to QMetry.

Remove Mapping

You can remove a mapping from Reflect by selecting No Test Case Assigned in the drop down.

1. Open the Reflect test.

2. Go to the QMetry Test Case section.

3. Select No Test Case Assigned from the drop-down list.

This removes the mapping between the Reflect test and the QMetry test case.

When you remove a mapping, only the link between the Reflect test and the QMetry test case is removed. QMetry no more imports future execution results for that test.
