Delete Test Cycles

You can delete Test Cycles either one by one or multiple test cycles in bulk at once. Deletion of unnecessary Test Cycles prevents data accumulation and saves memory consumption.

Note

Test Cycles will be deleted from the project permanently. The action can not be reverted.

Delete a Test Cycle

You can delete a test cycle through either of the following ways:

A. Test Cycle Grid View

B. Test Cycle Detail page

A. Deleting Test Cycle from Grid View

1. Hover over the test cycle. Three icons become visible now: Execute, Clone and Delete.

2. Click on the Delete icon to delete an existing test cycle.

B. Deleting a Test Cycle from the Detail page

Open the test cycle detail page and click on the Delete button at the top right corner.

The confirmation message pops up. Click Delete to proceed.

Delete Test Cycles in Bulk

You can delete multiple test cycles at a time through the Bulk Delete functionality.

Use Case: QA Manager finds some test cycles irrelevant in the planned release. Hence, they pick such test cycles and apply the Bulk Delete feature.

Note: Maximum 20 records of test cycles can be deleted at a time.

Steps:

1. Select test cycles that you want to edit.

  • Selection of Multiple entities at a time: To select entities within a range on the current page, select the first entity’s check box and then select the last entity’s check box and simultaneously hold the SHIFT key of the keyboard. All the entities between these two entities will get auto-selected.

  • Select All:

→ Select all records on the current page:

Clicking on the check box in the column header selects all the records on the current page only.

An alternate way is to open the check box drop-down and select Current Page.

→ Select all records across all pages:

Open the check box drop-down and select Across All Pages option.

Once you select the test cycles that you want to delete, the options for bulk operation become visible on the screen.

2. Click on the Delete option.

The confirmation message pops up.

3. Click Delete to proceed with the deletion of selected test cycles.
