Field 'Assignee' cannot be set. It is not on the appropriate screen, or unknown.

Symptoms: The user faces an error 'Field 'Assignee' cannot be set. It is not on the appropriate screen, or unknown' while logging a defect from Exploratory Testing.

Root Cause: The User's JIRA does not have a field called 'Assignee' while creating a 'Bug' and he/she is explicitly providing it from the Exploratory Testing.

Solution: This issue can be resolved by adding "Assignee" to the Bug issue screen.

Follow below steps to add this field to Bug issue screen -

Note - Project admin permissions are required to perform this operation.

• Go to Jira Settings>Issues>Field Configuration.

• Click on Screens.

• Select the Scrum Bug screen for your particular Project and add Assignee field to the screen.
