How to generate a test summary report grouped by custom field

When the QA manager wants to generate reports based on custom fields applied to the test cases, the Test Case Summary report > By Custom Field will help to fetch this data.

We can generate the Test Case Summary report > By Custom field by following the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Navigate to test reports > test case summary report > By Custom field. Select the custom field for which you want to generate a report. Refer to the below screenshot:
Step 2: The report will be available in 4 representations i.e. Bar Chart, Line Chart, Pie Chart, and Tabular view. Every representation has an option to drill down and the drilled-down report can also be exported. Kindly refer to the detailed article on drill-down reports.

Important Notes:

Test Case Summary by Custom Field report can be generated only for a single project.
Only one custom field can be selected at a time.
The report can be generated for all types of custom fields except the “Single Line Textbox” and “Multi Line Textbox” types of custom fields.
