How to track QMetry test assets and execution progress from the confluence page

You can view QMetry test assets directly from the confluence page using the QTM4J confluence integration app. Following are the pre-requisites and steps:

Please note below prerequisites before installing the Confluence integration app:

  • QTM4J app and QTM4J Confluence Integration app must be installed on the same Jira instance.

  • “View” and “Create” permissions are required for Test Case, Test Cycle, and Test Plan on the QMetry Test Management for Jira instance.

It is available free of cost and can be installed in your Confluence instance by following the steps provided in this help document link.

  • Step 1: Once the confluence integration app is installed, you will be able to create multiple macros to display QMetry test assets based on different filters. On the Confluence page just type /QMetry to prompt the QMetry Assets macro. Click on the macro to insert it on the page.

The QMetry macro can also be added by clicking on insert and searching for QMetry in the macro menu as shown in the below screenshot:

 

  • Step 2: The “Insert QMetry Assets” window opens. In the Search section, select Project, Entity Type, and Folder to display test assets on the Confluence page. You can even add additional filters for the test assets to be displayed. Click on the Insert button to view the selected test assets on the confluence page. Refer to the below screenshot:

The Issue Key is clickable, which opens the issue detail page in the QTM4J app as shown in the below screenshot. You can refer to the help guide documentation for more details.
