How to trigger a configured CI/CD Rule

This article is intended for users who want to trigger a CI/CD Rule after configuring it from the Automation module > CI/CD section in QTM4J. A CI/CD rule can be triggered from the following screens:

From the Automation module:
- Steps:
  1. Navigate to the CI/CD Rules section of the Automation module to view the configured CI/CD rules.
  2. Click on the "Trigger" icon for the rule for which you want to trigger the job pipeline.
From the Test Cycle module: To trigger a configured CI/CD Rule from a Test Cycle, you must initially link a rule to the specific Test Cycle. Refer to this section from our help guide on how to link a CI/CD Rule. Once linked, you can trigger the rule from the Test Cycle under the following screens:
- From the Test Cycle > Detail page:
  - Steps:
    - Go to the Test Cycle module.
    - Open the Detail page for a Test Cycle.
    - Click on the “Trigger” CI/CD Rule button at the top of the screen.
- From Test Cycle List View:
  - Steps:
    - Go to the Test Cycle module.
    - Hover to the right-most flank for a Test Cycle row on the List View.
    - Click on the “Trigger” CI/CD Rule adjacent to the Execute button.
