Delete Test Cases

You can delete individual test cases one by one or multiple test cases in bulk at once. QMetry allows you to maintain different versions of test cases. You can also delete a particular test case version. You can use inline delete feature to delete individual test cases.

Note: Test Cases will be deleted from the project permanently. The action can not be reverted.

Delete a Test Case Version

If a test case has multiple versions, you can delete a particular version of the test case.

Note: The test case version will be deleted from the project permanently. The action can not be reverted.

Open the test case detail page and click on the Delete icon at top right corner.

Select the Only Selected Test Case Version option on the menu.

It will delete the particular version only. Other versions of the test case will still be available.

The warning message pops-up. Click Delete to proceed with deletion of selected test case.

Delete a Test Case

You can delete a test case through either of the following ways:

A. Test Case Grid View

B. Test Case Detail page


Note: The test case will be deleted from the project permanently. The action can not be reverted.

A. Deleting Test Case from Grid View

Hover over the test case. Two icons become visible now: Clone and Delete.

Click on the Delete icon to delete an existing test case.

B. Deleting a Test Case from Detail page

Open the test case detail page and click on the Delete icon at top right corner and select the All Test Case Versions option on the menu.

It will delete the entire test case with all its versions.

The warning message pops-up. Click Delete to proceed with deletion of selected test case.

Delete Test Cases in Bulk

You can delete multiple test cases at a time through the Bulk Delete functionality. Bulk Delete will delete all versions of the test cases.

Note: Selected test case(s) will be deleted from the project permanently. The action can not be reverted.

Use Case: QA Manager finds a bunch of test cases which are not relevant to the planned release. Hence, they pick such test cases and apply Bulk Delete feature.

Click on the Apply button to apply the removal action on the selected test cases.

The warning message pops-up. Click Delete to proceed with deletion of selected test cases.
