How to obtain automation summary.txt file on automated Test Run?

To obtain the automation summary.txt file on your automated Test Run, kindly follow the steps below:

  • Go to QMetry>Configuration>Automation and enable the 'Automation Summary Attachment Setting'. This will allow the display of automation summary attachment on the Automated Test Run. By default, the option remains "enabled" and users will see attachments for issues imported through Automation API.

          NOTE: You need to have admin rights to make the above changes.

  • Import the Test Results file through your automation tool. If you have already uploaded the Test Results file, you will need to re-upload the Test Results file to obtain the automation summary file.
  • After uploading the Test Results file, your newly created Test Run will have an automation summary.tx file. Refer screenshot attached.
