QMetry Jira Integration - Important Fixes and Changes Required

The earlier version of the Jira Integration - QMetry Enterprise v1.7.0 had a few known issues which have now been take care in the latest v1.7.1

Existing issues in QMetry Jira Integration v1.7.0 app:

  • Under Jira Project Settings > QMetry Features, while enabling the issue types to show the QMetry BDD and Test Case panels, the issue types of entire Jira instance were visible, instead of just the issue types of the current project.
  • If for any Jira Prject where BDD and Test Case panels were enabled, these panels by default got enabled for all the projects having the same project type (e.g. Scrum, Kanban).

Fixes made in QMetry Jira Integration v1.7.1 app:

  • Under Jira Project Settings > QMetry Features, while enabling the issue types to show the QMetry BDD and Test Case panels, the issue types of only the current project will now be visible.
  • BDD and Test Case panels are enabled only for the current project (and not all other projects having the same project type).

Action Required

After upgrade, for any given jira project that has QMetry Panels enabled, these panels will be enabled for all the issue types in the Jira Project.

  1. After upgrading the Jira add-on to 1.7.1, keep the QMetry Features enabled only in the issue types you need, and can be disabled from other issue types of the Jira Project. Go to Project Settings >> QMetry Features >> Issue Type and disable QMetry Feature against the Issue type where you do not want to see it.
  2. This change should be made to all the Jira Projects integrated with QMetry.
