Exporting Requirements

Exporting Requirements

Overview

You can export selected or all requirements in XLSX or CSV file formats in a single click. The exported file gets downloaded on your computer.

Note

  • Only users with the "Export" permission enabled for the Requirement module can perform this action.

  • Role-based access control for the module is managed through Roles under Customization.

  • If a user's role doesn't have export rights, the Export option is disabled.

Why would you export requirements from QMetry?

Bulk requirements for a particular project are maintained in QMetry. A change request comes from the customer, which requires corresponding modifications in multiple requirements. QA Manager decides to update requirements in Excel file. So the team exports the requirements to Excel, makes required changes in the file and imports that excel file back into QMetry through the Requirement module.

Steps to Export Requirements

To export requirements, perform the following steps:

1. Go to the Requirement module.

2. Select the folder.

3. The content on the grid pane at right depends on the folder that you select. The grid pane at right displays requirement records for the folder.

You can also apply Filters to requirement records to export only preferred requirements.

4. Click on the cog icon
