How can I copy/clone folder structure from one module to another ?

QMetry allows Cloning folder structure (including sub-folders) from one module to another. It helps users to copy the same folder structure and keep it consistent across the modules. Users can replicate a structure in Requirement, Test case, and Test suite modules within the same project.

Note: Cloning of folder structure only copies its structure and not the entities inside the folders. At a time only one folder (including sub-folders) can be cloned from source to destination.

To clone folder structure from source to destination,

  1. Go to the source module from which you want to clone the folder structure.
  2. Right-click on the folder to be cloned and select the 'Clone folder structure' option.

You will see the window with the source module's folder structure. Click on the "Next" button to display the screen where you choose the destination module to replicate the folder structure.

  1. On the source module, select the folder the structure which you want to clone. If you select the node in the first hierarchy of the tree, then all the sub-folders under it will be cloned. You can expand the folder tree to go to reach the required sub-folder.
  2. After selecting the folder on the source module, select the destination module and folder path to copy the source folder structure.
  3. Click on 'Create' to copy folder structure from source to destination module in the selected path.
