How to use Exploratory Testing?

Add - QMetry Test Management - Exploratory Testing Chrome extension from Chrome Store or by navigating to QMetry > Exploratory Testing section

Once QMetry Exploratory Testing extension is added onto your Chrome browser, here are the steps to use the exploratory testing feature of QMetry:

• Log into the tool using your exploratory API key & QMetry URL.

Open

• Once you’re logged in, select the Project from the drop down and specify a session name and click on Start Recording.

• Now, perform the actions that you wish to test. At any point in time, if you want to log defects, go ahead click on the Log Defect button.

• Once the session is completed click on the Stop icon to end the recording. Now to view the session in QMetry, go to QMetry ⟶ Exploratory Testing

• Click on the recorded session and you can opt to create a Test Case or Test Suite and also do the executions with all the data recorded in the session.
