Dashboard

Overview

QMetry renders easy to read Dashboards that present information on your testing process and progress. The dashboards are continuously synced with database and rendered up-to-date to provide you with real-time analytics beforehand. These dashboards are shareable to keep all stakeholders on the same page and encourage collaboration.

Add a New Folder / Create Folder Hierarchy

Open Advanced Reports > Dashboards.

Hover the mouse over the con icon for the root folder i.e. My Items, and select the Add New Folder option.

Enter Folder Name and click on the Done button.

A folder is added on the tree. This way you can add folders and sub-folders, and create folder structure hierarchy to add various dashboards.

For example, QA Manager wants dashboards related to test cases and to categorize dashboards accordingly for the ease of identification.





You can -

  • Add sub-folders to current folder
  • Rename the folder
  • Delete the folder


To change the hierarchy of folders, drag and drop folders on the tree accordingly.


Create Dashboard

To create Dashboard in a folder, first select the folder on the tree.

Click on the Create Dashboard button at top right corner.



The Add Gadget pop-up opens.

The panel has default graphs that can be added as dashboard.



Click on the Add button for the graph to add it as dashboard. You can add as many graphs as you want from the available ones.

Finally click on Done.

The charts are added on the dashboard.



A. Project: You can select multiple projects to generate the reports for.

B. Rename: The dashboard can be renamed. Click on the con icon beside the dashboard name and click on Rename.

C. Add Panel: You can keep adding graphs on the dashboard using the panel.


Organize Dashboard

You can create folders and organize dashboards within corresponding folders. Dashboards can be moved from one folder to another folder using drag and drop.


Share Dashboard

Dashboards can be shared with other teammates irrespective of their rights to access project.

Click on the Share icon for the dashboard that you want to share.

A pop-up with opens with users' list. Select users by clicking on the respective icon.

The selected users are displayed in the Shared With section below.

The icon turns green as soon as you share the dashboard.



Schedule Emails to Send at Specific Times

You can share updated Dashboards on regular basis to stakeholders. QMetry offers the flexibility to schedule emails that will contain PDF of Dashboard details.

To schedule outbound emails at particular frequency, click on the Schedule icon for the dashboard that you want to share. The dashboard details will be sent in PDF to recipients as per defined schedule. 



The Schedule icon turns green as soon as the email is scheduled.
