You can create a new test asset into QTM4J directly from the Confluence page. It gives you the flexibility to create test assets without switching to the QTM4J application. This way you can insert entities on the go and your team can refer to them quickly from the same Confluence page itself. Follow the below steps to create test assets from the confluence page:

  • Step 1: On the Insert QMetry Assets screen, navigate to the “Create New Entity” section. The panel at the right displays fields to create a new asset in QMetry Test Management for Jira through Confluence.

  • Step 2: To create a new entity, fill in the below details:

    • Project: Select a project where QTM4J is enabled in which you want to create a new entity.

    • Issue Type: Select the Issue Type you want to create from amongst - Test Case/Test Cycle/Test Plan.

    • Enter Summary and Description regarding the entity.

  • Step 3: Click on the Insert button at the button.

The QMetry Assets panel is inserted with the newly created test asset.
