How to link the Test Cases associated with the Story issue to the Test Cycle?

This article will help you to link the Test Cases to the Test Cycle which are associated with the Story Issue of JIRA. Follow the steps mentioned below.

Note: This article to be followed by QMetry for Jira version 4.x users. It demonstrates how to link all the Test cases that are linked to a specific Story on Test Cycle.

Step1: Go to QMetry Menu > Test Management > Select Test Case tab.
Step2: Go to the filters option and select filter for Coverage/Stories, click on Done.

Step3: Click on the Coverage/Stories option.

Step 4: On the next screen, you can filter the Test Cases associated with the Stories using the filter options like Summary or Issue key. More options such as Issue Type, Priority, and Status are available on the More button. In addition to this users have the JQL for the advanced searching of stories across the project.

In the below example we are searching the stories using the JQL filter option. Write the JQL and click on the search button. Once the results are up select the Stories that you want to link and click the Submit button.

Step 5: Once the filter is applied you will see all the Test cases that are associated with that Story. Select all those Test cases, go to Link With > Link with Test Cycle option from the drop-down as shown in the below screenshot

Step 6: On the next screen search your Test cycle > Select the Test Cycle > Click on Link & Close button.
