Prediction Dashboard

QMetry Wisdom moves ahead with AI and machine learning algorithms to apply predictive analytics that learns from the data of Jira to predict the possibilities of finding bugs during testing.

The Defect Management Tool is configured with your project, information is extracted from the configured Defect Management Tool project. The AI Based Data processing is used to predict Risk factor and Defect Range for individual Module in your project. The information gives you predictions about bug occurrence and error-prone areas. It helps the testing team identify the future trends of bugs and allows the team to act upon them in advance.

Once you are done with Prediction Configuration, click on the Prediction Dashboard on the sidebar.

The Prediction Dashboard displays two types of predictions:

  • Risk
  • Defects

Risk

QMetry Wisdom predicts Risk factor for individual Module/Component(s) version wise through the AI Based Data processing. The anticipation of risk involved in a particular module helps management drive better decisions.

There are three tabs provided on the screen:

  • Prediction
  • Actual
  • Compare

Prediction

Based on the data, the Risk indicator identifies the error prone modules and predicts the risks involved in different modules.

Use the Version navigator to select a particular version to view corresponding chart.

Color in ChartDescription
RedComparatively more risky modules. Plan for more testing efforts for such modules.
GreenComparatively low risk modules. Testing efforts can be reduced on such modules.

Actual

The chart shows the actual results derived after actual execution of tests.

Compare

The chart compares what was predicted by QMetry Wisdom vs. the Actual Results.

The sections going beyond the circumference are the modules for which the predictions proved true, in other words, the risk within the modules were predicted correctly.

Defects

QMetry Wisdom predicts defect range for individual Module/Component(s) version wise through the AI Based Data processing. The Defect Range is predicted with minimum and maximum defect count. The Defects graph displays the Predicted Defect Counts vs. Actual Counts for each module of version.

Use the Version navigator to select a particular version to view corresponding chart.

Hover over the vertical bars to view the statistics of bugs of individual modules. To view the actual bug count, hover the mouse over the triangle icon .

For more accurate defect prediction, confirm all Versions, Modules and Version Stability in Prediction Configuration - the more the confirmed data, the more accurate predictions would be.

Color in ChartDescription
Red

Comparatively more risky modules. Shows predicted defect range for module with actual defects (for past releases).

Green

Comparatively low risk modules. Shows predicted defect range for module with actual defects (for past releases).
