To install Android Studio on Windows, proceed as follows:
- If you downloaded an
.exe
file (recommended), double-click to launch it.
If you downloaded a.zip
file, unpack the ZIP, copy the android-studio folder into your Program Files folder and then open the android-studio > bin folder and launchstudio64.exe
(for 64-bit machines) orstudio.exe
(for 32-bit machines). - Follow the setup wizard in Android Studio and install any SDK packages that it recommends.
- Create a Virtual Device using AVD Manager in Android Studio and launch it once to check whether it is working properly.
As new tools and other APIs become available, Android Studio tells you with a pop-up, or you can check for updates by clicking Help > Check for Update.
Setup Environment Variable for Android:
set ANDROID_HOME=C:\ installation location \android-sdk
- set PATH=%ANDROID_HOME%\tools;%ANDROID_HOME%\platform-tools
3. After setting PATH variables, kindly Reload QAS.
