Enable QMetry Settings for Jira Next-Gen Project

Required Permissions

Permissions required to enable the QMetry settings in Next-Gen Project are based on the Project access type and user role.

To enable the QMetry settings in a Next-Gen Project, users must meet one of the following conditions:

A. For projects with open access, users must have the Administer Project and Browse Projects permissions.

B. For projects with private or limited access, users must hold Administrator rights.

 

Follow the steps to enable the QMetry settings in a Next-Gen Project:

  1. Open the Project drop-down list and go to the Next-Gen project.

2. Select Project Settings on the navigation bar.

3. Select Access.

The Project Access page opens. It shows the Project access type you have on the project.

To enable the QMetry settings in a Next-Gen Project, users must meet one of the following conditions:

A. For projects with open access, users must have the Administer Project and Browse Projects permissions.

B. For projects with private or limited access, users must hold Administrator rights.

 

Projects with Open access: A project with Open access will behave like any other software project in Jira, and users can enable the QMetry Settings for the project.

Projects with private or limited access: For Projects with private or limited access rights, the user must be added as an Administrator to the project.

Enable QMetry Project Settings

Perform the following steps to enable the QMetry Project Settings in the Next-Gen project of Jira.

1. Open the project drop-down list, and select the Next-Gen project.

2. Select Project Settings on the navigation bar.

3. Select Apps.

4. Select QMetry project settings.

It opens the QMetry Project Settings screen. Enable the QMetry for Jira option.

Enable QMetry Permissions

Perform the following steps to enable QMetry Permissions in the Next-Gen project of Jira.

1. Open the projects drop-down list, and select the Next-Gen project.

2. Select Project Settings on the navigation bar.

3. Select Apps.

4. Select QMetry permissions.

It opens the QMetry Permissions screen. Enable the Permissions option.
