Exporting Test Suites
Introduction
QMetry allows its users to export test suite details out of QMetry in Excel file format and save the file on to the computer hard drive. Users with a User Role that has “Export” rights assigned for the Test Suite module can export test suites. Role based user access control for the module is managed under Customization > Roles. If the role assigned to the user does not have rights to export test suites, the Export option will appear in the disabled mode for that user.
Steps
1. Go to the Test Suite module.
2. Select the folder on the tree.
The content on grid pane at the right depends on the folder that you select on the tree.
You can apply Filter criteria to test suite records to export only preferred test suites.
3. Click on the cog icon at the top right corner on the toolbar and select Export.
The next screen opens.
4. Select Export as XLSX/CSV and click Next.

Field Export Options
Custom fields will also be exported if these fields are enabled in case of the Visible Fields option. Else, custom fields will always be exported in case of the All Fields option.
Visible Fields
Select the option to export only visible fields on the List view screen. The export will exclude the columns which are hidden. Any visible custom fields on the test suite grid list view are exported.
All Fields
Select the option to export all the fields of a test suite including custom fields regardless of the columns being visible or hidden on the test suite list grid view.
9. Click Export.
A confirmation window pops up. Click Yes to proceed.
A message pops up to view the notification for the export progress. You can view the progress in the notification window on the application header. This allows scheduled exports to run in the background and allows users to continue with their other work.
Go to the Scheduled Tasks section, to download the exported test suites.
