Analytics

Analytics provides a detailed view of execution results. Analytics help you study and analyze the executions looking at the different statistics like Job details, Total Test Cases, Total Passed, Total Failed, Total Skipped, and Total Execution Time of the test run. QAS provides live and unified reporting to test executions. You can also export the execution results to PDF.

Access Analytics

Open the QAS Analytics module to view the test execution reports.

You can drill down to the details of individual test cycles and test cases to get details test cases.

In case of test cycle execution, users can view Job wise data reporting in parallel testing.

Search Executions 

QAS provides virtualization and searching options at folder and test plan level in Analytics module. It helps improve the analytics capabilities of the system. This allows users to search and analyze data more effectively and it reduces the time and effort required to extract insights from large datasets.

Users can search the executions by ID and name from the provided search box.

Analyze Failed Executions

Click on the failed test to view its detail and get its problem analysis. Drill down to the test step.

The error shows expected value and actual value.

 

A screenshot also gets attached under the Media column of the failed step showing the exact location on UI where the test failed. Click on the icon to preview the screenshot.

Export Execution Results to PDF

Users can export the test execution details into PDF for reference, which may help users to do for further analysis and comparison. This PDF report can also be shared with users who do not have access over QAS.

Steps:

1. Go to the Analytics module.

2. Open the required job/cycle execution.

3. Click on the PDF icon at the top.

The Export Test Execution Details screen opens.

1. Select from the options depending on the report detail that you want to view:

  • Overview: The export will cover only high level execution summary of the report. A PDF is exported containing the report summary.

  • Detail Report: The export will cover full details along with steps, logs, screenshots, etc. A zip file with Job ID/Test ID is exported. Unzip the zip file. You can see the PDF report, logs and attachments as per the selection you made.

2. Click on the Export button.
