Export QMetry Macro Details to PDF and Word

Users can export the details of QMetry Macros on Confluence pages to PDF and Word formats using Confluence's built-in export features.

Steps

1. Go to the Confluence page with the QMetry macro generated.

2. Click on the More actions icon at the top right corner.

3. Hover to Export and select Export to Word or Export to PDF.

You can see the progress of the export operation on the screen.

 

Export to Word

The records are exported in Word as shown below.

The Key is hyperlinked, clicking on it opens the entity detail page in the QTM4J application.

When you click on the total count of the records in the exported file, it navigates you to the list view of the respective modules showing total records. The filter you applied in Confluence will not preserve.

Export to PDF

To download the PDF, click the Download PDF link on the screen.

The records are exported in PDF as shown below.

Note: If you have an old macro (for QTM4J Cloud version 4.11.0 or below) already added on the Confluence page, then remove this old macro and add the new one to see the latest features.

Additional Notes:

  • The export will include records from the first page of the macro only, even though the records in the QTM4J Macro on Confluence are covered on multiple pages.

  • While exporting the Confluence page to Word or PDF if you want to open the document in a separate window in the browser, follow the instructions below.

→ In the case of Mac OS: Click on the Export to Word or Export to PDF with the Command key pressed.

→ In the case of Windows OS: Click on the Export to Word or Export to PDF with CTRL + click.

  • Clicking the total count from the exported file will take the user to the module list screen.

  • Columns that can be accommodated on the page will be exported. The rest of the columns will not get exported to the file.
