Test Cycles

Starting December 5, 2025 (QMetry Test Management for Jira v4.15.1), the QMetry Test Management for Jira documentation moved from its location on Atlassian to a dedicated, standalone QMetry Test Management for Jira documentation page. For the latest updates, refer to Test Cycles.

Test Cycles form the core of the Testing environment/process and track a testing process in Execution results, along with details like Estimated Time, Actual Time, etc. The Test Cycles are linked with Test Cases that carry the primary-level data.

Note: QMetry Test Management for Jira uses Jira’s native editor, and some characters like backslashes, used in the wiki markup body, become unusable by default. This is a technical limitation of Jira. You can use the Code from the rich text editor to mention any text containing a backslash as a workaround.
