How to create a UDF/Custom field in QMetry?
There would be situations when a tester wants to capture some data in a test case module, however, a relevant field to enter that data is not available. In such cases, a QA Manager or Project Admin can help by creating a custom field in QMetry of the required data-type.
- Different Types of Custom Fields that can be created are as follows:
- To create new custom fields, Go to 'Customization' → click on 'Manage Fields' option → Click on '+ New' button at the top right corner.
- Fill in the details like Field Type, Field Name (internal), Field Label, Lookup List, etc..
- Under 'Project Mapping' section, choose projects from 'Project' drop-down list and select the required module from 'Module' drop-down list. Now click to 'Add project' to associate the custom field for the selected Project.
- Click on 'Save' to create a custom field.
