Exporting Test Cases
Introduction
Export test cases in multiple formats like Excel (XLSX or CSV), Word, and PDF. Excel exports offer a structured tabular format ideal for re-importing test cases, while Word and PDF formats are perfect for sharing readable, print-friendly documentation with stakeholders outside the system.
Note
You must have "Export" permission in the Test Case module to perform test case exports.
Admins can set role-based user access control from Roles under Customization.
Exporting Test Cases to Excel, PDF or Word
To export test cases in Excel, perform the following steps:
Go to the Test Case module and select the specific folder.
Apply Filters to display preferred test cases.
Click the cog icon and select Export.
4. Select from export format (XLSX / CSV).
Click Next.
Select records: Select individual test cases to export by clicking the check boxes.
Export All Records: Select Export All Records to select all test cases listed in the folder.

Select options to export test case:

Export Test Cases with steps in multiple rows: It will export test cases with steps arranged in multiple rows of an Excel sheet.
Export Test Cases with steps in a single row: It will export test cases with steps included in a single cell.
Export Test Cases without Steps: It will export test cases without steps.
Field Export Options
Visible Fields: This option excludes all columns that are hidden.
All Fields: This option exports all fields irrespective of whether the columns are visible or hidden.
The test case description and step description fields are included in the export irrespective of any field export options.
Click Export.
Click Yes to proceed.
You can track the export progress and download the exported file from Schedule Tasks window.
Exporting a Single Test Case Detail to PDF or Word
You must have "View" permission for the Report module and “Export” permission for the Test Case module.
The PDF or Word icon is visible only if you have the required permissions.
Admins can set role-based user permissions from Roles under Customization.
To export a single test case to PDF or Word, perform the following steps:
Go to the Test Case detail page.
Click the PDF icon or Word icon on the header.
By default, the page orientation is set as Portrait.
You can select the page orientation as Portrait or Landscape and set the selected orientation as the default.
For eSignature-enabled projects, the report also includes Approval Workflow details for the test case.
