Exporting Requirements

Starting March 2026 with QMetry Test Management version 8.25.0, the documentation was migrated from Atlassian to a dedicated, standalone QMetry Test Management documentation site. For the latest updates, refer to Exporting Requirements.

You can export selected or all requirements in XLSX or CSV file formats in a single click. The exported file gets downloaded on your computer.

Note

Only users with the "Export" permission enabled for the Requirement module can perform this action.
Role-based access control for the module is managed through Roles under Customization.
If a user's role doesn't have export rights, the Export option is disabled.

Exporting Requirements from QMetry

To export bulk requirements, perform the following steps:

Go to the Requirement module and open the relevant folder.
Use filters to locate specific requirements.
Click the cog icon and select Export.

4. Select the format to export the requirements and click Next.

5. Select records: Select requirements to export by selecting individual requirements.
6. Export All Records: Click Export All Records to select all the records across pages to export.

Click Next.

Field Export Options

Visible Fields: Select the option to export only visible fields on the List view screen.
All Fields: Select this option to export all fields, including both visible and hidden columns.

The test case description and step description fields are included in the export irrespective of any field export options.

Click Yes to process.

View progress in the notification window on the application header. This allows scheduled exports to run in the background and allows users to continue with their other work.
