Delete Shareable Test Cases
Note: The shareable test cases can be deleted only after archiving them. Refer to https://qmetrysupport.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/QTM4J/pages/3197632513 to know how to archive a shareable test case.
You can delete individual shareable test cases. QMetry allows you to maintain different versions of test cases. You can also delete a particular test case version. You can use the inline delete feature to delete individual test cases.
Shareable Test Cases will be deleted from the project permanently. The action can not be reverted. It will remove all references of the shareable test case from linked entities.
View Archived Test Cases
To view only archived test cases on the list, click on the more button above the folder tree and click on the Show Archived Test Cases option.
Delete a Shareable Test Case Version
If a shareable test case has multiple versions, you can delete a particular version of the test case.
Open the shareable test case detail page and click on the Delete drop-down at the top right corner.
Select the Only Selected Test Case Version option on the menu.
It will delete the particular version only. Other versions of the test case will still be available.
The confirmation message pops up. Click Delete to proceed.
Delete a Shareable Test Case
Apply the filter provided for the archived shareable test cases as mentioned in the View Archived Test Cases section. The archived shareable test cases are displayed at right.
You can delete a shareable test case through either of the following ways:
A. Shareable Test Case list view
B. Shareable Test Case detail page
A. Deleting a Shareable Test Case from list view
Steps:
1. Hover over the test case. Two icons become visible now: Delete and Unarchive.
2. Click on the Delete icon to delete an existing test case.
It will delete the entire test case and its created versions.
B. Deleting a Shareable Test Case from the detail page
Steps:
1. Open the shareable test case detail page.
2. Click on the Delete drop-down at the top right corner and select the All Test Case Versions option on the menu.
It will delete the entire test case and its created versions.
The confirmation message pops up showing the number of test cases the current shareable test case is linked with.
3. Click Delete to proceed.
Deleted Shareable Test Step in the Test Case
Once the shared step is deleted, its reference from the test case in which it was reused will be removed.
Deleted Shareable Test Step on the Execution Screen
It is required to sync and get the update by clicking on the link provided on the execution screen. Only then the deleted shareable test steps will be removed from the execution screen.
